WHO I AM

Professional Experience and Certifications:

I am Lois M. Cooper, an Associate Certified Coach by the International Coach Federation, the largest global certifying body for coaches and, as such, I adhere to all Ethics and Compliance obligations. Maintaining strict confidentiality is a tenent of my practice.

My Private Coaching practice is for professionals who are looking for more meaning and purpose in their work lives, outside of work and in their relationships. I have successfully coached individuals who have become entrepreneurs, have transitioned to new positions and who have taken the steps to make their personal dreams come true!

But that’s not all that I do.

I am a published Author, Keynote Speaker, Diversity and Inclusion Consultant, Corporate Trainer and am certified in Motif Notation, The Method for Recording Movement Concepts and Conflict Resolution and Violence Prevention using Movement. I earned an MBA from Baruch College in New York City and a BA from American University in Washington, D.C.

In another aspect of my career, I am a Practice Leader, Human Capital Solutions, at LMH Strategies, Inc. which provides Diversity Consulting and leads talent development initiatives. I have more than 25 years of Human Resources experience in organizations across a variety of industries including 16 years at Adecco Group North America, the world’s largest temporary staffing firm. In my career, I have developed expertise in a number of areas, including employee relations, change management, conflict resolution, performance management, organizational design and development, supplier and workforce diversity and corporate social responsibility.

Awards and Recognitions:

This year I was appointed as Diversity Director for the Society of Human Resources Management for New York State (SHRM). In April 2017 I received a Diversity in Business Award from the Long Island Business News. In 2016, I was named a Phenomenal Woman by the Urban League of Long Island. In March 2015, I was recognized for my Remarkable Dedication and Commitment to Farmingdale State College’s STEM Diversity Program. In 2014, I was named as a Top Executive by Uptown Professional Magazine, a Top Influential Female in Corporate America by Savoy Magazine and a Top Diverse Leader in STEM by STEM Connector. Recently I have been a featured speaker for SHRM, the Association of Talent Development (ATD) and Molloy College.

Community Involvement:

I am Board Chair of the Urban League of Long Island, Co-Chair of the Diversity & Inclusion Council for SHRM Long Island, Chair for the Programming Committee of ICF-LI and Leader of the Culture Club for Moxxie Network.
